Geneva Komorowski Cicholski, 91, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Thursday April 30, 2015 at Shadyside Care Center.
Geneva was born November 1, 1923 in Moundsville, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Veronica Paradysz Komorowski.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville and a retired housekeeper for Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis S. Cicholski Sr.; two sisters, Stella Kowal and Sophia Metz; five brothers, Stanley, Joseph, John, Fred and Mitchell Komorowski.
Surviving are her daughter Gina Hoops and her husband Dean of Moundsville; son, Francis S. Cicholski Jr.and his wife Nan of Easton, PA; two sister-in-laws,, Lilian Komorowski of Moundsville and Marti Thomas of New Kensington, PA; four grandchildren, Scott Hoops and his wife Kristen of St. Clairsville, OH, Michael Hoops and his wife Andrea of Brownsburg, IN, Francis “Spanky” Cicholski and his wife Katie from Fredricksburg, Va and Catherine C. Cicholski of Easton, PA; four great grandchildren, Calvin A. and Reagan E. Hoops and Jacob P. and Nicholas M. Cicholski; special niece and nephew, Monica Masters and her husband Steve of Moundsville and Edward Metz of Moundsville; several other nieces and nephews and all her loving family at the Shadyside Care Center.
Friends will be received from 4-8pm Sunday, May 3, 2015 with a Rosary Service at 7pm. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Church with Rev. That Son Ngoc Nguyen serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
