OBITUARY NOTICE
John C. O’Hara
Age 65

John C. O’Hara 65 of Idaho Street, Wellsville, OH died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at home following a brief illness. He was born in East Liverpool, OH on July 15, 1947, the son of the late Charles and Alice B. Smith O’Hara. Living his entire life in this area, he worked as a welder at the former Crucible Steel and J & L Steel before his retirement in 2007.

Mr. O’Hara was a 1965 graduate of Wellsville High School and a member of the Elks Lodge 1040 and the VFW Post 5647. He was very active with the Ham Radio Operators.

He is survived by one daughter: Kelly Townsend and her husband David of Wellsville, OH as well as another daughter from Georgia; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Sturm officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 4-8PM.

Uncle John will be missed especially by his daughters Jamie & Kelly who both loved him very much. I have fond memories of him as a young girl playing with my cousins and can only imagine how happy he is in heaven now.

R.I.P. John wish I could have got to know you better only met couple of times but I remember them. We met through your daughters and happy to call your daughters and their family my friends. I love all of you and ask the Lord of Peace to comfort you all. God Bless

We will miss John greatly, his humour and intelligent discourse made for some wonderful discussions. Bob worked with John for many years and always talked about what a genius he was with everything he did. I will miss his many emails, especially during the political seasons. Be with God John.
