July 24, 1953 - May 19, 2015

The glorious day arrived on May 19, 2015 when our sister, L. Dianne West, was called to join her parents, Murriell and Myrtle West in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Surviving to share her memory are sisters Jean Berg of Margate, FL, Glenda Everett Lee of Norfolk, VA, and brother, Eric Wayne West Bonnie of Abingdon, MD. Dianne was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews and her loved extended family at Brighton Gardens LLC and The Arthur Bobby Center.
Our deepest appreciation to the caregivers who opened their homes to Dianne since Mother’s death in 1984; Norfolk Community Services Board employees, the owner and staff at Brighton Gardens LLC, The Arthur Bobby Center and Medi Hospice staff and volunteers , and Eggleston Services where she was employed over 25 years, 15 of those working in food services in the Galley at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
The family will receive friends and family Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach with a service following at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Chaplain Horace “Monty” Montgomery will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:30 PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby St., Norfolk.
