Chesapeake – Phillip Augustus Wilson, 71, died April 27, 2015. Mr. Wilson was born in Norfolk to Jean Whitley Wyche of Macon, GA and the late Augustus Julius Wilson. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. Mr. Wilson was an active member of Hampton Roads Auto Body Association, having served in various capacities for the Association and had also been a member of several other local automotive organizations. He enjoyed watch repair and was an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his daughter, Marci Wilson Beale and a sister, Pricilla Wilson Credle.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Patty A. Wilson; children, Nick Lengyel and his wife Pam of Chesapeake, Mike Wilson and his wife Rebecca of Christiansburg, and Christopher Wilson of Chesapeake; sister, Phyllis Jahnke and her husband Jim of Macon, GA; Nicole Lazar and her husband Chris, Jessica Hebert and her husband Ryan, Brooke Wilson, Brennen Wilson, and Sierra Beale.

The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Mike Eggert and the PAH team at Sentara Norfolk and to Dr. Ravi Kahatapitiya and his staff at NDC for the many years of dedicated medical and emotional support for both Mr. Wilson and his daughter Marci Beale as they struggled to manage the devastating effects of PAH.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial following at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
