Richard B. Simmons, 74, formerly of Moundsville, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Peterson Rehab Hospital.
He was born June 12, 1940, a son of the late Robert and Gloris McCardle Simmons. Richard was a Moundsville High School graduate of 1958, a member of Crabapple Community Church in Wind Ridge, Pa., and an avid Nascar fan. He retired from Mobay Bayer Chemical Corporation, New Martinsville, W. Va.
He is survived by one son, Richard A. Simmons, of Moundsville; one brother, David E. Simmons, of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Nancy Lee Jerry Wagenhals, of Ashland, Ohio, Mary Ruth Culbertson of Cameron, W. Va., and Carol Jo Salem of McMechen.
Graveside services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
