Arthur Lightfoot formerly of Grimms Bridge Road in Calcutta died peacefully at the Calcutta Health Care on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, after spending the day with his family.
Born in Burslem, England on July 30, 1920 he was the son of the late John and Maria Ruston Lightfoot.
Mr Lightfoot had moved to East Liverpool at the age of 5 and spent his entire life here. He had been employed as a Jiggerman working in the pottery for 35 years and retired from the former Taylor, Smith, and Taylor Pottery in 1981.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Morden Lightfoot of East Liverpool, Ohio; two sons, Frederick John Lightfoot of Cleveland, Ohio and James Norman Lightfoot of East Liverpool; one daughter, Beverly Lightfoot Korda of Salem, Ohio; two sisters, Lucille McKinney of St. Cloud, Florida and Marion Green of East Liverpool, Ohio; five grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Norman Lightfoot.
There are no calling hours or services planned.
The East Liverpool Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
