To Love him was to know him. I always thought of Uncle Art as my Grandpap, since I never knew mine. I know he is in heaven shooting the bull with all of our relatives that he told us so much about over the years. He was like the internet of our family history, after talking to him for a day you would find out you had family you never new about. The one thing I will never forget is how he loved EVERY CHILD as if they were his own. I am so glad my daughter felt his joy for life for he was a GREAT MAN. The man that carried the name "UNCLE" at the highest level. To me a grandfather!! I will for always cherish the memories of the talks and Fun times we had. He was the one person that never minded me being around. Til this day I haven't firured it out? For only to here "Oooh Johnny" on more time old pal. Art was the best friend I had, he called me darlin and honey aka his honey. He made me things in the center and when I went to the center we had a blast together. I have two things to remember him by, one was something he made me in the center another was a photogragh of me and him on a fourwheeler. But I 'm happy because before he died he had a good time at the cabin.And so you know he was a wonderful man and he was like a grandpa to me. EmmaLee DeFilippo age 10

I'll miss pappy, but i still have a few great memories of him i will always have. Especially when he took me and lea up to the cabin to feed the racoons. My sympathy goes to Jim and Sue and the family. He was a great man and will be missed be all who knew him.

I just wanted to express what it meant to know Art. He was not just part of our Adult Day Service, he was our Adult Day Service. He always enjoyed finding connections between himself and someone he just met. Nothing pleased him more than to find out he and another client had shared something in the past. I wonder as he makes his way through heaven if he isn't stopping by each person he passes and touching their 'life' in same way like he touched ours. My deepest sympathy. Sue DeFilippo
