MORGAN, Bernard L. Sr., 76, of Bethlehem, died Monday, April 30, 2001, in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

He was born May 23, 1924, a son of the late Lyle S. and Mary Ellen O’Connell Morgan.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling. He retired from the Wheeling Electric Company and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Cave Club.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Morgan, Walter Morgan and the Rev. Leo Morgan, O.F.M. Cap. Surviving are his wife, Margaret B. McNeill Morgan; three children, Bernard L. Morgan Jr., Mary Morgan and Barbara Morgan Fehr, all of Wheeling; a granddaughter, Brittany Morgan Fehr; three brothers, Paul E., Robert and Leo P., all of Wheeling; two sisters, Geraldine Wendel and Marie Johanning, both of Plymouth, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, WV. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Condron as celebrant. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Vigil services will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
