Charles G. Claypool Sr.
Mr. Charles G. Claypool Sr., age 75, of Pancake-Clarkson Road Rogers, Ohio
died Monday, February 14, 2005, at the East Liverpool City Hospital after an extended illness.
The son of the late Bernard Wilson Claypool and Mary Lane Claypool, he was born in Cow Run, W.Va. on April 5, 1929 and moved to East Liverpool, Ohio area when he was 16.
He had been employed as a bus driver for the former Ohio Valley Transit Co .for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He also owned and operated Claypool Tree Service for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Rohm Claypool, in 1988.
Survivors include, 3 sons, Charles G. Claypool Jr. of East Liverpool, Robert G. Claypool of Warner Robbins, Ga. and Larry W. Claypool also of East Liverpool. Two daughters; Mary Ann Brooks of DeBarg, Fl. and Judy Gonzalas with whom he resided.
One brother, Loyal Wilson Claypool of Buchannon, W.Va. and three sisters; Pauline Fornish of Detroit, Mich. , Frances DeBarr of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Jean Carpenter of Buchannon, W.Va. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to his Parents and Wife, Mr. Claypool was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Maria Claypool.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 17th, 2005, at 1:00 PM at the East Liverpool Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 145 West 5th Street, East Liverpool, OH with Rev. Wayne Standley officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery in the Upshur County W.Va. at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the funeral home in East Liverpool from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2005.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
