Dennis C. “Moose” Morris, 50, of 1107 South Main Street Mullins, South Carolina, formerly of Bellaire, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in Florence, South Carolina.
Dennis was born May 2, 1958 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Annabelle M. Moore Morris a resident of Bellaire, Ohio and the late George “Tub” Morris.
He was an employee of Washington Mutual Bank, a former Bellaire City Councilman, a member of the Bellaire Eagles and the Masonic Lodge.
He was involved in Girls softball and Peewee Wrestling He was a Methodist by Faith.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, were Paternal Grandparents, Edmund and Viola Morris, Maternal grandparents, Joseph and Agatha Moore, Brother-in-law, Pete Russell Sr. and many aunts and uncles.
Surviving is his wife Sarla Dawani Morris, his mother, Annabelle Morris of Bellaire, a brother, Wesley Loi Morris of Orrville, Ohio, two sisters, Barbara Russell of Glen Robbins and Opal John Ritts of Martins Ferry, His Father and Mother-in-law, Dr. Parmanand and Mrs. Champa Dawani of Mullins SC, brothers-in-law, Mahendra and Surenda Dawani, sister-in-law, Sharmila Neeraj Dawani and Uncle Joseph “Bud” and Annette Moore, two aunts, Barbara Knight and Edith McKelvey.6 nephews, 2 nieces 5 great nieces and a great nephew.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2-4p.m. & 6-8p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio where services will be held at 11a.m. Monday with Pastor Donald Cordery officiating.
Interment in Powhatan Cemetery Powhatan Point, Ohio.
