Age 68

Donald A. Zacharias 68, of Fife Coal Rd., Wellesville, Ohio died Friday, April 27, 2001 at Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio from a sudden illness.

He was born June 11, 1932 in Wellsville, Ohio and was the son of the late Fred and GoldieFurbee Zacharias.

Living his life in Wellsville, he was a welder for the former Wellsville Barge Co.

Mr. Zacharias was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Wellsville American Legion Post 70, and a life member of the Wellsville VFW Post 5647 were he was serving as Post Commander.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 Brothers and 1 Sister.

He is survived by 2-Brothers. Rev. Fred Zacharias, Jr of San Diego, Calif. and Clarence ”Skip” Zacharias of East Liverpool, Ohio also 1-Sister Mrs. Linda Galloway of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, April 30, 2001 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Terry Weyand of the Avondale Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Shadow Lawm Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the Wellsville Chapel on Monday, April 30, 2001 From 2:00 PM up until the time of the services, where full military honors will be accorded by The Veterans Tri State Burial Group.
