Virginia Beach- Edmund Bliss Titcomb, CDR. USN Ret. died December 28, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Houlton, Maine on January 18, 1924. Mr. Titcomb went on to become a Naval Aviator and Commander retiring in 1972. He was also an avid golfer, a fan and season ticket holder for Old Dominion Basketball, and drove for the Red Cross. Mr. Titcomb is predeceased by his son Edmund Bliss Titcomb, Jr.
Mr. Titcomb is survived by his wife Dorothy Flynt Titcomb; two daughters Jane Yancey and husband Tom of Virginia Beach and Judy Hoffenberger and husband Joe of Virginia Beach; one sister Jean Denyer and husband Ray of Winter Park, FL.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on January 31, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Altmeyer Funeral Home Virginia Beach is handling the arrangements.
