Mrs Esther M. Rawlings, age 86, of 15th Street Wellsville, Ohio died at East Liverpool City Hospital on Thursday, September 16, 2004, after a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Everett F. Reed and Edith I. Payne Reed, she was born in Wellsville on July 11, 1918 and lived her entire life in there.

Mrs Rawlings had been employed at Sterling China Co. as a Print cutter, she had also been self employed as a beautician for 25 years. A graduate of Wellsville High School, class of 1936, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Lady Elks at the Wellsville Elks # 1040, the Wellsville Civic Club, the Wellsville Homemakers and the East Liverpool Senior Citizens Area Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Rawlings on January 21, 1976, they were married on June 2, 1939.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph E. Rawlings of San Diego, Ca. and Donald W. Rawlings of Wellsville. One daughter, Mrs James Patricia Wilson of Wellsville and one brother, Evan Reed of Rock Falls, Ill.. 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs Rawlings was preceded in death by a son, Robert
