Etta Kearns Forester

Etta E. Kearns Forester, 93, of Moundview Nursing Home, formerly of McMechen, died Friday June 8, 2001 at Wheeling Hospital.

Etta was born August 14, 1907 in Middlebourne, WV, daughter of the late Frances and Loretta Barker Kearns. She was a retired homemaker, a member of the Benwood-McMechen United Methodist Church, and a member of the Womens Circle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Forester, a son, Lawrence Forester Jr., two daughters, Margaret Showalter, and Erma Jane Forester, and two brothers, Lewis and Jesse Kearns.

Surviving are a grandson, David Forester and his wife Kellie of Wheeling; three granddaughters, Teri Romick of Atlanta, GA, Susan Miller of Wheeling, and Lisa Smith of Columbus, OH; and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 11, 2001 at 2 pm at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard, with the Rev. Glen Baker Jr. officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benwood-McMechen United Methodist Church, 8th and Marshall Streets, McMechen, WV 26040.
