JAMES PATRICK CURRAN 69 OF BELLAIRE, OHIO DIED MONDAY JANUARY 31, 2005 AT THE COUNTRY CLUB RETIREMENT CAMPUS IN BELLAIRE, OHIO.

HE WAS BORN MARCH 14, 1935 IN WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA, A SON OF THE LATE MICHAEL AND MARIE FORD CURRAN.

JIM WAS RETIRED FROM THE OHIO FERRO ALLOYS PLANT IN CLARINGTON, OHIO, BELCO CRAFTS AND THE BELMONT MRDD.

HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH OF BELLAIRE AND A US NAVY VETERAN.

JIM WAS A WONDERFUL, CARING HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, AND UNCLE. THE CORNERSTONES OF HIS LIFE WERE HIS CATHOLIC FAITH, FAMILY AND NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS BROTHERS, BILL, LEO, AND JOHN CURRAN, A SISTER KATE FOSTER, BROTHER-IN-LAW BOB FOSTER, AN INFANT SON, ANDREW MICHAEL, AND INFANT GRANDSON, ADAM JAMES ROSS AND HIS MOTHER-IN-LAW, KAROLINA SITAR.

SURVIVING ARE HIS WIFE OF THIRTY-FOUR YEARS, JULIE; THREE SONS, JOSEPH AND HIS WIFE MICHELLE OF FAIRBORN, OHIO, DANIEL AND JON, BOTH OF THE HOME, A DAUGHTER, MARY KATE ROSS AND HER HUSBAND MICHAEL OF WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA AND HIS GRANDSON, SAM CURRAN. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY SISTER-IN-LAWS, MARGE CURRAN OF MARTINS FERRY, OHIO, PAT CURRAN OF MOUNDSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA, AND MARIE CURRAN OF RICHMOND, VIRGINIA AND HIS LOVING NIECES AND NEPHEWS, WHO KNEW HIM AS "UNC". HE ALSO LEAVES BEHIND HIS FAITHFUL AND LOYAL COMPANION, JIGGS.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED AT THE BAUKNECHT-ALTMEYER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 441-37TH STREET, BELLAIRE, OHIO ON WEDNESDAY FROM 2 TO 4 AND 6 TO 8 PM.

FUNERAL LITURGY WITH MASS WILL BE CELEBRATED ON THURSDAY AT 11 AM AT THE ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, BELLAIRE, OHIO, WITH MONSIGNOR GENE W. MULLETT THE CELEBRANT.

INTERMENT IN THE MT. CALVARY CEMETERY, BELLAIRE, OHIO.

VIGIL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY AT 3:30 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO THE ST. JOHN GRADE SCHOOL, ST. JOHN HIGH SCHOOL OR ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, BELLAIRE.
