John Andenoro, Sr.

February 6, 1920 - February 11, 2005

ANDENORO, John J. Sr. 85, of Peters Run Road, Wheeling, died Friday, February 11, 2005 in Wheeling Hospital.
John was born February 6, 1920 in Clouster, Ohio, a son of the late Serafine and Anna Amato Andenoro. He was retired from Valley Camp Coal Co., a member of the United Mine Workers and was a US Marine Corp.Veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Owens Ehler Andenoro; two step-sons, Alvin and Toddy Lee Ehler; two brothers, Sam and Guy Andenoro and a sister, Anna Mary Walkup.
Surviving are two sons, James J. Andenoro and his wife Mary of Wheeling and John J. Andenoro and his wife Janice K. of Sherrard; a step-son, Reginald J. Ehler ; a step-daughter, Sylvia Rose Michaels of Roseville, Ohio; a brother, Joseph Andenoro and his wife Jody of Strongsville, Ohio; three sisters, Theresa Hunt of Florida, and Rose Akers and Angie Russel, both of Brunswick, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend funeral services at
10 am, Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Wheeling, with Rev. Jeffrey Michaels officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Make a Wish Foundation.
Arrangements are by Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling.
