Cook, Joseph, 78 of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Elkins and Fairmont WV, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 in Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.
He was born July 27, 1926 in Elkins, the son of the late James and Vernie Tingler Cook.
He was a former heavy equipment operator in the Operating Engineer Union, and an Army veteran of WWII.
Joe was a member of the Osiris Shrine Temple of Wheeling, Fairmont, and Morgantown, WV, and a member of the Board of Directors of the US Civilian Conservative Corps.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Evans Cook in 1993, five brothers, Emmitt, Ernest, Roy, Jack and James Cook, three sisters, Ina Lambert, Hazel Lambert and Edna Fleming.
Surviving is his wife, Mary M. Frohnapfel Rust Cook, three children, Kenneth Cook and his wife Sandy of Capon Bridge, WV; Keith Cook and his wife Judy of Fairmont, WV; Karol Swiger of Fairmont, WV; five brothers, Paul Cook of Canton, OH; George Cook of Elkins; Howard Cook of Shadyside, OH; Gene
