MARCHLENSKI, Joseph F., Sr., 82, of Wheeling, WV, died January 27, 2004 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1921 in Wheeling, the son of the late John and Anelia Wiszniewski Marchlenski. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, an Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Carcione Marchlenski in 1981, 7 brothers, John, Edward, Chester, Paul, Louis, Frank and Pete Marchlenski, 2 sisters, Mary Marchlenski and Helen Malatinsky. Surviving are his four children; , Joseph Marchlenski, Jr. and his wife Sharon, John Marchlenski and his wife Terry Hamm all of Wheeling, and Don Marchlenski of Columbus, OH,. One daughter; Cindy Perring and her husband Mike of Wheeling; three brothers, Stanley Marchlenski of Newark, OH; Richard Marchlenski of Benwood, WV and Harry Marchlenski of Wheeling. One sister; Jane Zingo and her husband John of Martins Ferry, OH., a friend Porticia Palmer, numerous Nephews and Nieces.
Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-9 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove with vigil services Friday 7:30 pm.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, January 31, 2004 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. James LaCrosse, S.M. as celebrant, Entombment in Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Elderly Care.
