Leo Bucon

March 14, 1916 - June 15, 2004

Bucon, Leo J., 88, of Bethlehem, W.Va., died Tuesday June 15, 2004, in Wheeling Continuous Care Center.
He was born in Wheeling on March 14, 1916, a son of the late Vincent and Anna Winiar Bucon.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Louise M. Silveri Bucon, five brothers: Louis, Albert, Anthony, Joseph V., and Chester Bucon and a sister, Mary Millick.
He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church; a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII; and a retired employee of the Wheeling Housing Authority.
Leo is survived by two daughters: JoAnn L., Maurizi of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Nancy L, Duck of Martins Ferry, Ohio; a brother: Bernard Bucon of Wheeling; three grandchildren: Shelley J. Wilburn of St. Clairsville, Joseph P. Maurizi of Columbus, Ohio, Leah M. Duck of Martins Ferry; three great-grandchildren: Brandon, Breanna and Derek Wilburn; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove Chapel, Wheeling, W.Va., where services will be held on Friday June 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Frank O
