Robert F. ”Zeke” Moore
Robert F. ”Zeke” Moore 75, of Parkway, East Liverpool, Ohio died Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Wellsville, Ohio on October 30, 1925, and was the son of the late Frank Diehl Moore and Winona Isabelle Pickering Moore Downard.
A life long area resident, Mr. Moore retired in 1984 from Globe Refractories, where he was the manager of Technical Services for 22 years. He was a 1943 graduate of Wellsville High School and received his BS in Ceramic Engineering from Ohio State University in 1951 . He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II, a member of the American Ceramic Society, AIME and ASTM. He was also an avid golfer and a member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Lois M. Merchant Moore, whom he married August 29, 1960; two sons, David J. Moore and his wife Nancy of Wellsville, Ohio and Robert G. Moore of Michigan; one daughter, Tammy Lamp and her husband William of East Liverpool and a step-daughter, Becky Nusser and her husband Terry of Flemington, New Jersey; a brother, Clyde R. Moore of Tallmadge, Ohio; three grandchildren, Shannon Lamp of East Liverpool, Zachary Moore and Hunter Moore of Wellsville, Ohio; three step-grandchildren, Michael Nusser and his wife Shannon, of Flemington, New Jersey, Melissa Lindgard and her husband Matthew of Stoney Stanton, England and Carrie Cookson and her husband Alan of Flemington, New Jersey; two step-great-grandchildren, Alyssa Nusser and Cailyn Nusser of Flemington, New Jersey.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a half-brother Roy Mauger.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, February 17, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Sturm of Rainbow Ministries, officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
The family will be present at the funeral home in Wellsville to receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2001 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM
