Ross Raymond Haught
Ross Raymond Haught, 82 of County Highway 68, Toronto, OH died on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the Robert Boyce Pavilion in East Liverpool City Hospital afer a lengthy illness. He was born in Stratton, Ohio on February 13, 1922, to the late Ross Haught and Lottie Barber Haught Davis.
Mr. Haught lived his entire life in this area working in the Cold Strip at the former Crucible Steel for 24 years before his retirement in 1983. He served in the US Army during World War II.
His wife, Pauline Beatrice Newlan Haught, whom he married on July 22, 1946, died on November 15, 1993.
Mr. Haught is survived by two sons: Ross E. Haught and his wife, Lori of Toronto, OH and Richard K. Haught and his wife, Cindi also of Toronto, OH; five daughters: Jenny Culp and her husband, Bud of Lancaster, OH, Barbara McElfresh and her husband, Sheldon of New Cumberland, WV, Phyllis A. Bushlow of Toronto, OH, Lorraine K. Dennis and her husband, Robert of Richmond, OH and Sondra L. Freas and her husband, George of Steubenville, OH; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Jeff Proya of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church in Steubenville, OH officiating.
Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery where the Tri State Burial Group will accord military honors.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
