Wanda Jean Porter Byers
Wanda Jean Porter Byers, 60, of Thompson Avenue, East Liverpool. Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2005 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Wellsville, Ohio on March 15, 1943, a daughter of the late John E. and Alta Daisy Newlan Porter. Mrs. Byers returned to the area in 2000 from Georgia, where she had resided for 13 years. She was a wife, mother and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Byers, whom she married in 1980. She is survived by four sons, Richard T. Byers of Columbiana, OH, David A. Byers of Dalton, GA, Jerry R. Byers of Hollywood, CA and Thomas J. Byers of East Liverpool, OH; a daughter, Tammy J. Beaver of Dalton, GA; three brothers, James E. Porter of Wellsville, OH, John D. Porter of Wellsville, OH and Robert S. Porter of East Liverpool, OH; a sister, Joyce M. Moore of Wellsville, OH; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 7:00 PM.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Saturday, February 28, 2004 from 3:00 up until the service at 7:00 PM
