As we have lived apart for so many years, you have been in my thoughts not sight. Now forever you will be but a thought away from us. May God guide you to your new home. Love Cecil and Bea

From your favorite sister... I MET WITH GOD, HE TOOK MY HAND AND SOFTLY SAID, "I UNDERSTAND" I LOOKED AT GOD AND THEN I KNEW THAT WHAT HE SAID WAS REALLY TRUE THERE IS NO PROBLEM, GRIEF, OR CARE THAT CAN'T BE SOLVED WITH GOD AND PRAYER. by: Elbridge Hammon THIS POEM WAS SENT TO ME FROM BROTHER CECIL EDMUND AND HAS BEEN A GREAT COMFORT TO ME AS I AM UNABLE TO TRAVEL TO VIRGINIA BEACH FOR MY LAST GOODBYE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING. MILDRED LAFKO

Uncle Maynie was a great man. He loved all his Family and especially loved to crack a quick line and laugh. He and my mom's other brothers showed me how an uncle could be: a best friend and someone in an extended family who showed love to you as if you were his son. I will miss Uncle and cherish the memories he gave me at our many get togethers. I especially will remember the Brother he was to my Mother. They didn't get to see each other all that much later on in years but always talked on birthdays and just out of the blue. When they were lucky enough to see each other in person you could see the love and special times shared as siblings in their eyes. I can only hope to have Uncles special charm and patience as I grow older and move into my adult life. Say hi to Grammy, Grampy and Uncle Ralph for me. Love Nephew Joey.

We always loved our family reunions with Uncle Maynie. He always had a smile and made us laugh. He will be truely missed.

We will miss his jovial personality, always quick with a joke, always making us laugh-What a pleasure it was to speak with him-in a world where everything is rush-rush, he always made us pause and take time to laugh, and for that we are grateful. From all of us at Ewell Pest Control-"see you on Sunday, Mr. Coates!"
